My Puppy
3 Answers
Now I've had my Staffordshire Bull Terrier Pup for about a month now and shes really settled in well with the family! But there are a few concerns on my mind. Next door lives a Boston Terrier. He's about six months old or so and he gets very excited when he sees my puppy (Sapphire) and trys to mount her a lot. Sapphire is only fourteen weeks old but she gets excited when the dog does this. I know she is too young to come into heat yet and so no harm will come but at what age should I get her spayed and should I keep her away from hormonal dogs anyway?

As long as they are six months of age or over then they can be spayed. It's actually better if they don't have a season first something to do with less chance of developing cancer.
If your not going to breed from her then I think the best thing is to have her spayed. I have booked my two in for next week. They are being spayed using keyhole surgery. Better for them as the recovery time is less and no stitches to contend with. More expensive, but worth it.
