Who discovered the wind turbine?

I am doing a piece of coursework for science about whether wind farms are a good idea or not.

Does anybody know who discovered/invented the first wind turbine and what year it was in?

charles brush in 1888 made the first electricity generating wind turbine

but windmills are also wind-turbines and they have been about since about 200bc

Whoever discovered the first wind turbine necessarily could not have invented it. It could have been there for centuries before being discovered...................
