hi just wondering if any one can answer this q for me please?

my daughter was convicted of child neglect and i now have residency, my question is she is planning on having a haloween party for his school friends, does she have to inform the parents of the children invited that she has this conviction for neglect or can she just carry on as normal.
something in the back of my mind is telling me she shouldn't be able to have other peoples children because of this conviction.
she is also only doing this in her contact time
many thanks

Check with social services as to the conditions of her release from prison, and any conditions she must obey in future as regards being present with children. In any event, you must ensure that she is NOT the only adult supervising the children at the party. The full conditions will be at the local social services department. They may well prevent the party from going ahead if they know about it.
probation will be more likely to know the answers to your questions, but I'm not sure if they'll tell you.. but you could let them know of her plans and let them deal with it.
Is the child subject to care or supervision order? When you were given residency you would normally be given parental responsibily so you are the person in charge of the child. What arrangements do you have for contact? if your daughter has unsupervised contact then it should be alright to have a party.
i dont want to sound harsh but she'll have to be prepared for the fact that alot of parents probably wouldnt allow there children to go to a party of someone whos been convicted of child neglect.

oldmaggie yes she has unsupervised contact for 3.5 x 3 a week it was supervised and has only recently gone to unsupervised i have the final say but a residencey order gives us both pr and this will be in her time.

as for other parents knowing what she did is highly unlikely does she have to inform them - i think she does but am unsure.
