Spell check not working

Whenever I attempt to use 'spell check' I get a message saying "Unable to connect to Google servers. Please check your interenet connections and try again." I am connected to the internet, and can get the Google search page when this message appears. I am using XP and IE8. Anyone know how I can get spell check to work? Thanks.

If your Internet connection's working then it must mean the Google servers are having problems. Try again later.

Just a suggestion, but have you tried "IESpell" from http://www.iespell.com Then you wouldn't need to be on the Internet to check your spelling. It's a very good FREE program.
Just a thought!!!

Thanks, wak, I might just give that a try if I can't resurrect the other one.

I would add that IESpell puts an ABC button on your menu bar so that you can check your spelling no matter what you are doing.
