The wall is a bit wrecked where a roller blind has been fixed & pulled away & refixed a few times.
What will the best way to fill that so that another blind can be fitted? Can it be filled or will it need a bit of wood over the top of the crumbled plasterboard?

Hi ailie, whatever you do you will need to repair the wall if you want it to look good. Is there a gap behind the loose plasterboard. If so you could clean out the loose stuff then put in a new peice. It's hard to explain for me so here is a site for you to look at. If you follow the instructions you should get good result and be able to put new blind up and the repair should be stonger than the original was. When you put the peice in you could always use PVA to hold it in place rather than using the filler that they say. It will look better than having peice of wood stuck on it.
