marriage notification

once you are married ie as a woman,wife, who are the most important people to notify first. do you always have to send a proper copy of the marriage certificate too?

hiya...i worked in abbey bank...we required a certified copy of marriage certificate (ie take copy to branch and they photocopy & stamp to certify)- send it yourself as if any other banks internal mail is like abbeys its rubbish!!!

otherwise a few copies certified by a lawyer?? we also required a letter with your old and new signature...xx

Whoever deals with your finances; employers, banks etc - they would want your new signature.

just thought, what about if both of you have made a joint will before marrying, we have one in spain too.

You should update your will to reflect your married status.

to update a will do you just sent in your marriage certificate and an add on letter stating all remains the same and there is just a name change?
