A Thoroughly bad lot
8 Answers
Is anyone else still a little unhappy with the posted suggestions for 38. ….. but his second mate got him into trouble. (8); and 90. Who could be blitzed by having drink in Denmark and Sweden? (6)?
While the larger fog connection is OK on 38 as far as it goes, I don't see the connection with 'got him into trouble' and these clues are generally precise. Likewise on our extra-terrestrial friends for 90, where the 'blitzed' connection seems at best extremely tenuous?
Has anyone out there got any better theories?

I am not sure if he (the answer) is a 'Thoroughly Bad Lot' ..........
and, seemingly the question is not 'politically correct' !!! (depends on your faith and laws of your country)!!
I can't see any issue of doubt with 90) and the question/answer seems tight!
D - - - K + S seems that Denmark (DK) is around the drink + Sweden (S)
and the word ¨blitzed¨was a term used by this 'Thoroughly Bad Lot'
