hi can any one give me some advice 12 months ago ai done some work for a customer about a month later he sadly died with out me having payment i sent my bill to probate and 2 days ago i recieved a letter saying that there was no money to pay any of his credtors however i do know that items taken to an auction did fetch about 1500 pounds can i make a claim from the family or not if it was not for the amount of money owed i would not bother

Maybe the auction proceeds were used to pay the funeral costs. I think it's likely he died with net debts and other creditors must have been given priority over you.

if there is no money there is no money - the 1500 quid probably paid funeral fees.
you cannot claim money from the famly
