Absolute unmitigated stupidity; where do people get these ideas from?

what is she going to do for her 18th??
Gotta laugh at sophie's response.
Question Author
Definitely a point sophie - the pressure it can put on other parents is crazy - I have spent far too long just discussing this with my daughter -
are you sure that there hasn't been a typo on the invite?
Is it her 12th birthday or 13th? Can't remember doing anything huge for my 12th and for my 13th, 14th and 15th birthday I had sleepovers where 3-4 friends were invited, they were brilliant!!
Peri - I am guessing it is a type of sleepover party - otherwise thats a lot of pass the parcels {;o D

It's a sleep over on Saturday / swimming on Sunday aft and back to her house again till 7.15 - in my opinion there is not enough parental supervision and that's another reason mine isn't sleeping over but I have been asked to give a dig out with lifts to swimming which I am doing as I want to keep an eye on things. She doesn't live in our area either so there is a small bit of driving involved -
Fine, a sleepover: but until 7:30 the next night!
Well, it sounds like she's got very brave parents!
Question Author
No she lives with her dad - nice man - her mother is an alcoholic - she is spoilt and allowed do whatever she wants because the dad has 3 sons also and probably overwhelmed. Any time my daughter has been there I haven't been happy with the freedom they get and being left alone in the house while he works, goes for a drink or whatever. Or when she's been at ours he can't be contacted on the phone
