likely outcome
My friend has just been charged with....
1) Public disorder - She bumped into her ex after a night out and an argument started. He phoned the police....when they arrived she was still going mad (she's very loud and very gobby) so then ended up having a go at the police
2) Assaulting a police officer - They tried to arrest her, she obviously resisted so they got her to the floor. She bit a policeman's leg
3) Disruption - (I think I heard that one right) This was for kicking off in the cells.
What's likely to happen?
She's a single parent to a 4 year old and as far as I'm aware she's never been in trouble with the police before.

It isn't a foregone conclusion that this fact will prevent her getting custody though.
It wouldn't hurt her to sign up for an anger management course before the court case.

She's not a violent person....she just gobs off and comes across as really agressive. She's been barred from quite a few pubs and had a few slaps over the years because she can't control her mouth. She shouts and points in your face.
Maybe this will teach her a lesson..!!
Doubt it though as she twists things in her head and always sees herself as the victim....

ummmm, part of the problem is that this kind of behaviour is deemed threatening and aggressive, even if she doesn't follow through with any physical stuff (which she did in this case).
I don't know much about sentencing for these kind of offences but as Daffy says, pre-sentence reports will set out her circumstances for consideration when sentencing. she will also get a reduction in any sentencing for an early guilty plea.

The assault on policeman is the obstacle. However, as she has no previous convictions I suspect there will be a supervision order/suspended sentence along with a fine.
Worst case scenario - prison for a month,
Mid case scenario - supervision order/suspended sentence/fine.
best case scenario suspended sentence for 12 months
