what is the definition of an affair? when one person is engaged and the other single, is this classed as an affair or can that only be so if one of rmore are married?

I personally class it as either or both of them in committed relationships with other people, be it married, engaged, living together or just boyfriend and girlfriend.

I'm sure other folk have different views, but they are mine :-)

4 out of 10 marriages end in divorce, the majority due to infidelity, plus the other "affairs that are forgiven (male or female), that means that probably over 50%...well over 50% have "affairs"
That makes the majority of the community "immoral" by your definition. Hence immorality is the NORM.
