I had a cat years ago, who lived to be nineteen, pretty good age for a cat.
She would go every morning to my neighbours house, (neighbour was a very early riser, I wasn't), and scratch the door until she was let in, and then she was given a few mouthfuls of chopped ham and pork, specially kept in the house for her. If the food didn't arrive quickly enough, she would nibble the back of my neighbours legs until it was put down for her.
