extremely tender breasts!

for the past year or so between periods my breasts are so tender about seven days after my period comes right through to my next period....any ideas what this could be? (NOT PREGNENCY!)

This is not an uncommon problem and is almost certainly due to fluctuations in hormonal balance.

Go to your GP and let him check that there is no sign of fibrocystic disease.

Evening Primrose oil seem to be the fashionable treatment at the moment, but may take up to 2-3 months before it starts to work.

I too had this problem due to hormonal unbalance and had to take a progesterone tablet a few days every month.
