Mcdonalds is where i work so im alrite there for food lol
continuing my post (which AB cut off)

. . .there's a good chance that 'socialising' will take up a large chunk of your income. Try to find ways to reduce your expenditure. (Drink less? Don't go out so often? Don't 'eat out'? Take the night bus home rather than a taxi?). I'm not suggesting that you should sit at home like a hermit but I'll bet you could make a few economies somewhere.

What about clothing? I appreciate that most young people like to be 'fashionable' but perhaps you're spending too much? Try going a few months without buying anything new. Then stick to Asda, Tesco, charity shops and Shoe Zone unless you're buying something special as a rare treat to yourself.

If your debts are on credit cards (and you've not already done so), cut them up and post them back to the lenders. Tell them that you're struggling to meet the repayments. There's quite a good chance that they'll cancel the interest, making it easier to pay off what you owe.

I'll end by repeating what I suggested at the beginning. You won't be able to sort out a proper budget unless you sit down and work out where that £700 is going to every month. When you've got everything written down in front of you, you'll be able to see where you can save money.

Our posts crossed there, Merthyr.

Thanks for the reply. I hope you're not like the sour-faced individual who served me when I treated myself to McDonalds (for the first time in several months) yesterday ;-)

Thanks for the advice its really clear for me now :)I know where to start :)
Nah im always happy when in work ,What you have there anyway?
My son works in a pub and often we call at the mackyd's drive thru on the way home for him to get a bid mac meal with a coke and the variation of service is quite wide ranging, some nights iot is really quick and they are polite, other nights they are so slow and surly it is awful.
Thanks for your post.

I'm remarkably unadventurous when I go to McDonalds. I spend several minutes outside looking at the menu, and considering any special offers. Then I go inside and do the same again. Then I go up to the counter and order a 6 nugget meal, with coffee and curry sauce, just as I always do! ;-)
any vacancies in McDs?......fantastic wages, all found!

It depends on the store if its busy ,They schedule staff on last years sales which is stupid,It also depends on the store volume which is either low, medium, high or super dooper ,our store is superdooper we make around 4.2 million each year. The nights do get very busy ,and it is very hard when your understaffed and people phone in sick
haha ive worked there now for 2 years and now getting fed up of the food haha

depends where you are on the ladder in the store,im assistant manager which pays 850-950 after tax and also has good benefits, extra shifts are always there to work .
My daughter worked for them for 2 weeks when she was 16, the manager kept changing the rota every day and she told him she needed order in her life and if he had a prblem with organising his staff she suggested he took a more responsible role and he didn;t like it lol

Merthyr....that volume of sales can afford special rates for bus-pass holders. Am addicted to a daily hamburger and the price is now 87p......too much!!!

It depends on the store, we treat our regulars special like with all the other customers ,but if theres a queue and we see a regular customer we will get their order ready for when they come to the till, also we offer loyalty coffee etc ,Its all down to the store managers discretion.
