I have been using AOL Broadband and am very happy, I dont want to change my provider but wondering whether to save my pennies and thinking of changing from Gold to Silver.  Would you recommend Silver at up to 512 kbps (17.99 per month) or Gold at up to 1 mpbs (24.99 per month).  What would be the difference because I don't know what these speeds mean, and which would you recommend?  I am just an average personal user, I don't use the internet for work but am on it a lot of the time. At the moment I am on the faster one, but would the slower one make a lot of difference?

i would say that if u download a lot of things then u will notice a fairly big difference (about twice the time to download anything) but if it is just general browsing of sites and chatrooms etc then u wont hardly notice a thing really, maybe a slight delay as the page updates but barely noticible i would have thought

I download quite a few photos from my camera, that is all, otherwise it is mainly browsing.

Well I have just change from AOL Gold to AOL Silver and it hasnt made the slightest difference - possibly if I play a lot of games etc. it would be slower, but I dont and it seems fine. Thanks for your help. !!
