cat not eating

ghost has not eaten since friday morning and he was being sick friday night / saturday. i took him to the vet on saturday, and was given some syrup to stop him being sick but the problem is I havent been able to get it down him. he has stopped being sick and is a bit more himself but he is still not eating. i will be taking him back to the vet tomorrow, but i suppose i am looking for some assurance that lots of other peoples cats have gone off food for a few days and recovered without problems.... ?

vomitting is often due to eating disagreeable foods....feed one raw egg just to give some energy.

Cats usually don't eat for a few days when they have had a bout of sickness.

Don't give raw egg!!! You don't want to risk giving an ill cat salmonella. Starve it for 24 hours, only giving water, then give something plain like boiled rice and chicken.
