Sponsorships are few and far between unfortunately. You could get a student loan and/ or a bank loan (for LPC/ BVC fees 6,000+) to finance your study. You won't have to pay these back for a few years.
Realistically, it'll be quite difficult to get a firm of solicitors to take you on or get called to the bar if you're 45ish. Maybe the legal executive/ paralegal/ other position would suit you best.
Good Luck.
Natwest offer a professional trainee loan for medics and lawyers of up to 25,000 which doesn't have to be paid back until you are earning a set amount of money after you qualify.
you can also get a student loan which is paid back in the same way.
