docspock i have xp and no idea what prt sc is??..it is on the keyboard and nothing happens when pressed.....barry1010 thanks but that programme is not responding at the moment....thanks...

When you press prtscrn, you need to open a paint program. The one in XP will do just fine.
Start - all programs - accessories - paint.

Open Paint and right click and click 'paste' - your screen grab will appear.

There should be three buttons to the top left of your keyboard - the first of these (from the left) is Print Screen. Press this and the image will be copied (though you will see nothing as yet). Then go into 'paint' as suggested, then from there 'edit' and 'paste' and the image will appear.

thanks cannot right click in paint... nothing there.............and my top 3 buttons i do not have a print page

use print screen key.
press the prntscr or CTRL+prntscr, the screenshot goes to your PAM automatically. U should goto MS Paint,MS word or any other graphic editors and Press CTRL+V immediately, then save the image…

if u wanna capture anything on the screen, perhaps this key can't help u. Im using PCHand Screen Capture, it could help u capture any screenshot on the screen. it offers many different capture modes inculding a scrolling window. u can get a long website page directly with PCHand Screen Capture. i think it is pretty good, i know it from my friend, u can also try it. Hope it could help.
