I would be equally happy with either "I want information ON the live-8 concerts" or "I want information ABOUT the live-8 concerts". In fact, now I come to think about it, I think the use of ON is more the vernacular, and ABOUT is the the more grammatically correct.
Many thanks, QM. One of your rulings ex cathedra is worth more than a thousand thessauri. I did look in Webster's but found only "information about". My personal preference is "information on", and I just wondered if there were any transatlantic issues here.
