Are all politicians frightened of the BNP?
6 Answers
It seems to me that whatever the BNP say or do, someone is willing to have a go at them. They can't say anything without there being a backlash. Now I'm not bothered who says what, but it seems to me that all of this is bringing the publicity that the BNP have craved for years. Another thought is that the sitting politicians are frightened of the BNP because they might oust a few spongers from parliament. We can't have that can we? However, I will not be voting for anyone at the next election. You can't tell the difference between the parties. Things will still be the same whoever gets in. It seems to me that the election is down to a popularity vote between Brown and Cameron. What a way to elect a government!

No right to a political opinion?
If at an election I can only vote for Candidate A (who does not represent my view), Candidate B (who does not represent my view) or Candidate C (who does not represent my view) then I must accept this Hobson's Choice to allow me to hold a political opinion?
I advocate a system whereby a 'None of the above' may be registered so that my disapproval does not get lost amongst the figures of spoilt papers or apathetic non-voters. A measure of this kind of disapproval may be sufficient to knock the current pack of political pygmies from their perches of complacency and prompt them to engage with those they are meant to represent.

just an idea.....but if everyone does go out to vote at the next general election and votes for any candidate other than the sitting MP (if that is applicable, cos boundary changes may make that impossible to do) then maybe the porkers at the trough might realise that the power does (and should) remain with the people. I realise that there would be chaos for a while (but hey, we are used to that at the moment!) but these trough-snufflers should be made to be more accountable......bring on the recall law!
