I read somewhere recently that a secretary after a call of nature returned to her computer to find to
everybody's amusement that everything on her screen had turned upside down, this was said to be
a common office prank by her co workers, but how is it done ?

Pres ctrl+alt and Down arrow. It doesn't work on all computers though
If you press cltr alt and up arrow will it reverse it?
Yep, you can also make it go to the side by using left and right arrows.

Quite why anyone would want to do this apart from a prank baffles me.

Thanx for your answer Another View you're right it doesn't work on this one, (a Pakard Bell) I just tried it, how dissapointing is that !
The prank we used to like was to take a screenshot of the victiim's desktop, then post it as their wallpaper. Hide their icons then watch and laugh as they try to click on icons that don't do anything. Oh the fun we have :-)

Haaaa. i like it Another View, has anybody else got any computer pranks ????
Try swapping their N and M keys round for a jape too :-)
Classic one is to change the buttons on the mouse so they work the other way (it's for left handers). Easy to alter and easy to change back, but frustrating if you don't know it's been done.

Some TFT screens can be rotated (the physical screen), so on a widescreen TFT you can rotate Windows to be "portrait" shape rather than "landscape" to fit a rotated screen.

I guess on a laptop you may want to rotate a screen to show someone something or give a demo (save them looking over your shoulder).

Just a thought.
yeah we used to take the wee ball out of the mouse and swap loads of keys around haaa!!

also calling phones or leaving messages for them to call pretend customers- such as the number for the local zoo asking for mr g raffe
haha oh good times however childish! :0P x
if the mouse has a light rather than a ball, a small post-it makes it unusable
Do you remember the old Windows 95/98 days, with screensavers that ran words across the screen?

I once put the previous nights football score into one ladies computer (she was a Man Ure fan and us Baggies beat them two nil)

It wasn't until I stopped her working for a while by chatting that her screensaver kicked in.
