Not a red rose or a satin heart -
I give you an onion.
It is a moon wrapped in brown paper.
It promises light... like the careful undressing of a lover.
It will blind you with tears, like a lover.
And it's scent will cling to your fingers, like a lover.
(I've taken a few liberties....)

unless the light is off and we lose each other
It will blind you with tears, like a lover
or just make you cry like the onion i gave abover

like a garlic that has been chopped by your mother or brother.
