ive just read in the mirror the price of the euromillions lottery is going up to £2 from £1-50 in november.Thats an increase of 33%,and suprise suprise, its not going up in the rest of europe, why?
As part of the increase there is a guarantee of a UK millionaire each week. As that is exclusive to the UK that will explain why the cost is staying the same outwith the UK.
When the price was set for a Euro lottery ticket, a € was about 65p. Today it is nearer 91p. Which means the £ buys less than it did. We will pay more for the same thing.
If the £ improves, you can bet the Euro ticket does not go down again.
