Easy peasy. To get from plan a journey from London to Rome you need the timetable of the German Railways!
No, I haven't gone mad (or lost my sense of geography), it's just that the timetable on the Die Bahn website combines all of the timetables of European railways. You can ask it, for example, how to get from Scunthorpe to Moscow by rail and it will tell you:

Incidentally, Die Bahn's UK booking office is usually better at providing information over the phone (and with lower booking fees) than Rail Europe, which is the official partner of National Rail and SNCF.
