My best friend will be 60 shortly and i haven't a clue what to get her. She very much has what she needs when she wants it. I always end up buying her jewellery or clothes of some description, but i want to buy her something different. What was the best gift you ever got? Can anyone give me any ideas please?

Time? Something like a spa session for the two of you?

Photography sessions can be fun too or other experience days.

What's you budget?
gizmos & gadgets......MP3 player-digi camera - Iphone
treat her to a theater trip and a meal? a day out somewhere for shopping, lunch and wine?
Take her on a Spa day.
Don't know where you live, but if you are within reasonable distance of London, say by train etc - I'd say take her to the Palladium and book her in to see the musical Sister Act. I saw this last weekend & would recommend it to almost anyone. It was fab - and I'm sure it would suit a 60 year old lady right down to the holy ground.
Don't know what you want to spend, but I got one of those photoframes which stores digital photos and displays different pictures. Great present! I also got a Nintendo DS which I love, but they are expensive.
Theatre trip or music gig as per Salla's suggestion would be great. I am in my sixties so am thinking hard. I am really hoping that someone will treat me to a Robbie Williams concert before I get to 100, or The Stones. Or Radiohead again. Expensive though.

What sort of price range are you thinking of.
this Dell wifi lappy is the best.........just wish it came in 'bus-pass' size!.
my youngest got me 2 tickets for an elton john concert this year. unfortunately it's been cancelled due to man flu :(
