Why do some items come in plastic containers and some in foil containers! Just had a takeaway, very enjoyable, rice in foil, bamboo shoots in plastic etc As i like my food piping hot usually have to microwave, but can't put foil in microwave !

Sounds like you are just slobbing it with your takeaways and eating them straight from the containers. If you put the food on a plate and then microwave it, the foil won't be a problem
