Scots, French, Scandinavian - lots of foreign accents can be sexy. The one that really does not appeal to me I'm afraid is a really broad Brummie accent. Makes them all sound a bit thick - I know they're not, but I was speaking to a man from Dudley yesterday - I just thought - Oh Derrrrr. Very unfair I know - sorry you Brums.

Oops sorry - shows my ignorance !
Well, it's the Dudley accent I'm not so keen of, but to my ignorant ears all broad Brummie accents are a bit of a turn-off. I know some lovely Brums - and you forget the accent after a while - I'm talking about first impressions & non-sexy accents - not saying either black country folk or Brums are unsexy....
I'm from Lincolnshire - but my accent (what I have of one) gets referred to as Northern, Yorkshire, all sorts really. I don't take offence.

My man is from the Black country and i love his accent although i am a little biased. :-) Brummie is different to Black Country once you get used to it but i can understand why they get lumped together. I like either and i don't think they sound thick.
My favourite accents are Geordies though along with southern Irish. Im Leicester i reckon it has to be up there with the worst.
