For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.In reading Genesis 3:17 through :19, Elohim, in speaking to Adam explains what will now happen, because firstly, Adam listened to his wife... but also that the curse for disobeience or betrayal of Elohim's only prohibition in the garden, i.e., eating of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, will be that Adam will have to eke out his living by the sweat of his brow... so it appears that all of the above is the most nearly correct answer...
