Nowadays - YES. Of course the UNIVERSAL church taught that it was wrong as part of their control over the population. They not only taught that masturbation and sex for pleasure was wrong but twisted scriptures to "prove" their point. Most of the world has at some point or other regardless of the type of religion has embraced the idea of it being a sin. Consider a person who never marries - is that person condemned to a life without ever experiencing an orgasm? Interestingly nowhere in the Bible is it condemned (tho some will still point to scriptures like our bodies being the temple of God etc). I interpret the lack of the subject in the Bible as meaning that God is not that bothered one way or the other about it. After all we have bodies that enjoy sensations so why then be told NOT to experience them. That sensation of orgasm is not only to be enjoyed when seriously making babies but other times as well. I wish all people would question their beliefs - in this and in other areas of life - and think for themselves instead of being slaves to people who play at being God. Again I say yes, thoroughly enjoy masturbating and pay no attention to any authority who says we mustn't.
