I got a kitten a year ago but my other cat whos 8 doesnt seem 2 get along with him. She hisses when he lks at her even if hes nowhere near her she wont even let him eat his dinner. Does anyone know what i can do thanks
You can't force them to get along.
Has your older cat been spayed? An intact female cat will usually display more aggression than one who has had the op.
I think you will just have to accept that your older cat doesn't like the younger one and try your best to keep them apart as much as possible until the younger one is big enough to stick up for himself.
Try feeding them at different times of day to each other and lock the one who isn't being fed away from the food bowls to prevent the hissing etc.
Good luck with it!

Not necessarily tony,I had 2 cats that hated each other for years. They just avoided each other mostly but when they decided to have a go the fur definitely flew!
daffy, About 4 years ago we had a new female kitten and when we introduced her to our 5 year old male cat, he didn't like her for a couple of months but he did learn to tolerate her and he still does but that is all he does is tolerate her.
I wish I could still have cats but my fiance won't let me have them because of my health problems.
I have been owned by many cats (they are always the boss.lol) for years and never had any problems with them apart from those two. I had 8 at home at one point after I rescued two pregnant female cats and they had their litters within days of each other.
In my experience unless they are close friends from the beginning they wont get closer than tolerating each other. we have got 2 cats together twice in our married life - with the first pair - one was very weak and the other nursed her back to life - they were not related - they loved each other and slept together and it was lovely. the second time we got two there was a week between them - the male took to the female but the female hissed for a week - the tolerate each other now the male is the dominent one but if the female really wants something she gets it -
