Which book is this?
1 Answers
I rented a book from the library many years ago and would really like to find it again!
It was a compilation of ghost stories and the one I remember the most vividly is one about a couple who are in India (I think) and run over - or at least believe they run over - a character in the road. When they get back home, the family is haunted by this ghost who, amongst other torments, leaves marks on the woman's shoulder one night.
Another story is about screaming crystal skull. One is about 50 Berkeley Square, a haunted building in London. Another is about a family tomb that is continually disturbed by an unseen force.
It all sounds pretty grim, I know, but if anyone has any idea please help!!
Thanks,
Matt

You may have had a copy of one of the series. They also featured carved crystal skulls.

The Berkeley Square bookshop is Maggs Brothers. Reputedly the most haunted house in London.
There is a legend of a screaming skull of Bettiscombe Manore in Dorset but it is not crystal. It apparently screams when removed from the house and the moving coffins were on Barbados. Her's some links.
