Who here would be breaking the law in Japan on waist sizes? I wouldn't thankfully!

I think this law is a little harsh but I guess they have imposed it for good reasons.

a 33.5 inch waist for men over 40 ? i haven't been less than 34 inches since i was about 18 and i aint fat. i used to have to go to the kiddies section in c&a to get trousers that would fit !!
What will happen to all those Sumo wrestlers?
yeah they have to make sumo wrestling illegal unless they are skiiny people.

Notice women are allowed larger waists than men.Due to the shape of most men they normally have larger waists than women of the same weight,we tend to go in at the waist and have larger hips.

If you read the article properly it is not illegal to be obese in Japan. It is companies health insurance policies that do annual health checks and offer counselling to those they consider too fat.
