Wiki says that was founded in 1787 or 1792, depending on which way you look at it

1772 was when slavery was abolished in England, but I don't think any slaves were moved to West Africa until a few years later, when a town was developed in Sierra Leone, and named Freetown. As it is still called Freetown, perhaps it's not the answer.
As for the Nile, it's believed to begin in Burundi.
