Hilary Blinds

Has anyone had Hilary blinds give them a quote? I was quoted £1600 for blinds for most of my rooms and was just wondering how much they might come down to? 100 or 200? I have no idea

I had a quote from them and found them very expensive. I used blinds2go. Easy to use, good prices and quick delivery.

The agents are self employed, so I suppose it depends how much profit they want for themselves.

we had a quote from sanderson for 7,500 and a quote for exactly the same thing from hilarys for 3,500. we decided not go the whole hog and got a local guy who works via ukblindsdirect franchise to do our conservatory windows for 700. if we want the roof done - like with the other two quotes, we would be looking at a comparative quote of 3,200.

avoid sandersons like the plague, but hilarys are generally cheaper and often apply discounts if you haggle. you won't know til you ask. for the rest of the rooms we ordered the blinds direct from a website and i fitted them (very easy) and that averaged about 120 per room for good quality blinds.

haggle then haggle some more. We did and got a blind from Hilarys fitted for half the price first quoted. As they are self employed agents they will come down quite a lot if it means they get the sale.

Think the price depends on whether or not the blinds are stitched or glued. If you do need to wash them in the future, the glued ones will become unstuck.
