I can recommend www.totaljobs.com you can post your CV get help to write it and research possible new career options-all in one place! I've been contacted by prospective employees this way. They used to do a career health check (don't know if still do) takes sometime, I did it around 4 years ago now and it took a while to answer all the questions but the results were spot on - its a physchometric test, so worth doing if you don't know what you want to do.
Its important to get your name and skills out there, post on any recruitment agencies websites and contact local companies. Its worth doing the research into companies you might like to work for, then target them.
Guess only remains to say, good luck in your search!!
