I'm thinking of buying a dog from a website called thebulldogconnection.com I wanted to know if anyone ever bought or have any opinions

I don't know this site or how it works but please ensure that you visit the puppy at the breeders before you commit yourself to a purchase. You should see the puppy with it's mother and preferably see the father as well. If the puppy is brought to you, you cannot judge what sort of care it has had and will only have the seller's word as to what environment it was raised in, how much it has been socialised, handled, etc.
Ideally you should feel that you have been interviewed as to your suitability to have one of their beloved pups. The best place to find a breeder is via the breed club which you should be able to find from the kennel club. BTW there has been a lot of discussion lately regarding bulldog's health and breeding so do your research.

I don't know the site either, but I do wonder why any good breeder would need to use it. Good breeders can sell their pups by the breed club secretary knowing of them (Secretaries know everyone !) or more formally by advertising them on the Kennel Club's 'find a puppy' section of the (KC )website. ( Either of which is the way I'd recommend for finding a pup)

This site is American based and prepared to ship their puppies out just about anywhere. TBH breeders who are this cutthroat are no more than puppy farmers, attracted by the hugely inflated asking price for Bulldog puppies. Just about every puppy on there is described as having 'show potential' There's no reliable way of establising this with an 8 week old puppy.

I 2nd with Garner and get in touch with Tania at Bulldog Rescue. She's in amongst the show/ breeders scene and could reccommend decent breeders who have litters ready if you're hell bent on wanting a puppy.

You wont get one any cheaper but at least you know it'll be from a reliable source.

pls dont buy a puppy from abroad, they have to spend the first six months of their baby lives in quarantine with not much human contact except at meals times, it just isnt fair on the poor puppy .
