clutch

My 2002 Audi A4 had a new clutch fitted at 33,000 under warranty.
It has gone again at 49,000 miles. ??????????????
I am facing a 600.00 bill shortly.
I do not drive like James Dean and I do not ride the clutch. I drive an average milage, in a mix of motorway and urban.
I am fearful that in 15,000 to 20,000 the clutch will go again. Audi seem reluctant so far to consider there is an underlying problem with the car.
I am unsure what approach to take when I hear from them next.
I would welcome any advice.

Audi did guarantee the work for 6000 mls or 3 months. But this possible repeat of the problem is within the 3 year mechanical warranty. So I was assuming that it would be covered.
When the first repair was done the replaced the whole clutch housing complete. However I do not know what that involves.
Audi are currently completing their investigative work to identify a cause and probably a cost.
