I am a leisurely retiree kate..LOL
but I worked hard all my life so I feel I am deserving of such luxuries

Bobbi
I work bloody hard, full time! bring on retirement, I say... :o)
I'm a lady of leisure too but not through choice.I will also be going back to bed soon but only because I don't sleep well at night due to my breathing problems which are getting rapidly worse these days.
oh daffy pet, I'm sorry !
Does the damp and cold make it worse fro you?

sorry to hear that daffy,my medication knocks me for 6,so i go back to bed for a couple of hours to sleep it off

morning bobbi'anything planned today? i am making cabbage soup later and chicken noodle soup i shall freeze some, son takes flask of soup to work everyday(he got the last of my turnip soup) then i'll do something with the 2 chicken breasts i used as stock for my soup.
My medication (tramadol painkillers) has the opposite effect kate,if I take it too close to bedtime it acts like an amphetamine type substance and keeps me awake despite me feeling tired,if I don't take it I wake up in the middle of the night in pain...so I can't win.lol

Hi Bobbi, the weather doesn't affect my breathing at all because I am housebound now,I can't remember the last time I went outside my front door.lol
I did spend some time yesterday in the back garden with my 20 month old grandson though,he was fascinated by our solar powered lights that change colour :-)
I'm pretty sure I am not a woman of leisure.
Question Author
chuck' might you be a man then?
I was last time I checked, though not one of leisure, else I would still be in bed :(
you know something?
you both have made me feel so humble here, you are always cheery (kate and daffy) and yet you are besieged with health problems which I wasn't aware of, I do remember Kate saying about the diabetes, because I answered her thread when she was diagnosed, all I can say is..
Keep comfy and warm and don't ever change your cheerful persona's.

Right.......my son has left for school now so i'm off to my bed,see you all later on :-)
I wish I could be a lady of leisure!!!!

I have at least 7 more years before I retire and I cannot wait.

Even my weekends have no leisure time, all I seem to do is shopping, cook and babysit!!!
funny I recommend it, it's brilliant!
Question Author
thanks bobbi, regardless of other health problems i just wish my balance was not affected, dottering about all over the place
about the diabetes kate, Bill was the same till the medication kicked in, he is on Mesalazine and Gliclazide + Simvastatin to control it, his is a little hight at the minute due to our weekend up in Scotland and Bless him, he does have a sweet tooth!
He is at the Doctors on wednesday to have it checked, his may be heriditary as his Father was type 1
