Hi again Chuck !
Thanks for suggesting Comodo Antivirus (Freeware), which I have now installed without its Firewall in preference to Avira.
How can I stop it Updating itself Automatically ? I have accessed 'Configuration' and unticked the Box 'Automatically check for Updates'. Unfortunately this has made no difference as it Automatically updates itself several times a day and when the Updates take place my PC temporarily 'Freezes' which can be a problem when doing other work. It has updated itself twice in the last 45 mins !
I would like to manually Update it once per day.
Have you any suggestions as to what I can do ?
Thanks

Yeah my name does get changed :)

see the last post on this thread, there is no way of changing the automatic update at the moment, it is planned for a future release, but there is a work around for it.

Thanks for that Chuck !
I will look out for the future release but in the mean time I'll grin and bear it.
Good system though !

I seem to have sorted the problem of Automatic Updates by unticking the Boxes 'Scan for updates before scanning' in the Scanner settings Section.
I can scan for Updates once a day Manually now as far as I can gather.
Just thought I'd let you know.
