Have tried to solve the clues by other means but now need some help from the ABers. Grateful for clues to the following:
6. Means of raising a pound... (is it related to dogs?)
31. A second-class player made a neat takeaway - (is there a cow connection?)
60. Regularly goes out with disreputable people...(I have serial for the first word)
Thanks

6 - it helps if you have a puncture.
60 - it is an anagram, think of the Tate.
6. It is an animal (not a dog) which is in the title of a book/film.
31. A cattle thief
60. Anagram of regularly goes out
Hope this helps.

Thanks baitress and x-ray - both your clues helped solve 6 and 60.
Had word beginning with R for 31 but cannot see second-class connection?
6. Yes, a wild one.
31. Don't know about the cow without looking in dictionary again, but think of another word for 'player'.
60. No, not serial - it's an anagram.
Hope this is of some help. I've just signed on because I've got down to the last 3, after using all other means to solve them.

Thanks x-ray - I had gone from rustler to hustler (a bad actor) but this gives the cattle connection. That's me done now, let's hope there aren't any more postal strikes!
