Central Heating Boiler

Can anyone give me the price of having a central heating boiler replaced, some pipework, plus labour? My son has been given a quote,but as I'm paying initially I would like to know whether this is within the normal range or extortionate? Thank you for all help!

Well for starters don't let british gas do it or it will be EXTORTIONATE

its very subjective. say like a car you can have a suzuki swift or a mercedes benz, both will get you to somewhere but one will last longer and be safer to use .
not easy to answer you but i suggest you read the september which mag , free at the library, for the last 3 years and form some ideas from that, then possibly come back on to ask some more questions
