Hi Sqad, as I haven`t yet had a swine flu jab but have had an ordinary flu jab, should I contact my surgery as I have mentioned Ive a prosthetic valve, big C of the prostate, and diabetes, or will my GP contact me to get one? I am 75yrs of age.
My GP surgery contacted me Carlton as I am on the High risk list. So, like Sqad I think you should contact your GP if you haven't heard anything. It may be that your surgery hasn't had their delivery yet. Our jabs were to have been two weeks ago but there were delays, so now have to go on Saturday next.
i have a feelng that your age will not get you on the "priority" list.
In the first wave are people aged between 5-65 with lund problems, kidney problems, diabetes or compromised immune systems. You may fall in a further category down. This is not ageist, just that older people are though to have a natural immunity to it as it seems to be affecting young people more badly
that is not what i am saying daffy, i can read; what i meant was that the first priority group was people between 5 -65 with those conditions. However i have just reconsulted my leaflet and it say over 5 year olds - don't know where i got the 65 from :)
