Cold Sores

I got the first cold sore of my life today, I can see it coming up. My Girlfriend has had one, and I kissed her while she had it, i'm guessing that's where I got it from. My mind is buzzing with questions...

While I've got the cold sore, and if I perform oral sex, can I give my Girlfriend genital herpes? Once the cold sore has gone, is there any chance of me giving her genital herpes? (We have unprotected sex)

The rest i'll ask my doctor...

If you have any feeling for her, how can you even contemplate it? Herpes is a nasty virus, just see this and show some common sense, for heavens sake!

Carlton, we're a loving couple and we're obviously clean, she's on the pill. I'm just not too sure about the whole Herpes thing.
