FAO Sqad......or anyone who may know - is it possible to see your unborn baby practicing his breathing?
I was lying in the bath a few nights ago and the area around my belly button was raising and falling ever so slightly at a very even pace. Was too slow for my heartbeat as I checked on my neck :o) and so would defo be too slow for his heartbeat.
Just wondered if it is infact possible to see him 'breathing'
Many Thanks
Kate :o)

Thanks sqad. I wonder what it was then - very odd. I even held my breath cos I couldn't work it out. Maybe he was doing a little work out to the music I had on.

There is foetal breathing that starts at around 20weeks and is much slower than adult respiration, but I still feel that it would be difficult to transmit this through the amniotic fluid, through the uterine wall to the mother's umbilicus.
I hated Midwifery and am not an expert, so ask you Obstetrician puma.

Sounds like small kicks/ movement to me........
When mrs bear was pregnant, which was often, as we've got four......lol.....she used to call me in when she was relaxing in a bath and say " look at this"......and her belly button area was twitching away and she felt very faint kicks and movement.
Nothing to worry about and i'm happy you're pregnancy going really well, Kate. :0)
Take care
love yogi xx
