Menu bars missing

Hello just started my computer up, and the menu bars at the top of my internet page, have gone to be replaced by advertisments. also for some reason the page as got longer. I have tried to do a system restore ,but for some reason it says this can not be done, please try another date. I have tried this three times but with no sucsess, thanks in advance.

Sounds like you've installed a toolbar (yahoo, ask or google are the common ones!)

Goto the control panel then add remove programs and uninstall whatever toolbar you have installed.

Or simply click on the view menu in your browser and then toolbars and take the tick out from next to the one you don't want to see (this only hides it, removing it totally is better)
