Does Santa Clause Exist?
Serious question as this is part of a family project on the subject of Christmas - We all know the history of Santa and the myths and stories surrounding the character but we still choose to believe or not believe in the spirit of Santa or the character himself. What evidence do you use in your family to justify the existence (or non existence) of Santa Clause? eg in our family we always turn to the recordings from Norad which prove with a visual 'sighting' of Santa and his sleigh on Christmas eve as 'definitive proof'.

Coca cola first gave Santa Claus or the Father of Christmas a red coat and a beard for their adverts . It is the spirit of Christmas that we all sign up to - So yes father christmas does exist - just like Mickey Mouse - Walt Disney made him up and every child visiting Disney world can physically touch him - so he IS real too - Just believe otherwise what hope has this life - Merry Christmas to all
Thanks for your answer LyndyLou but just to correct one thig, Like yourself, and for many years I believed the Coca Cola story, but I recently discovered it was a misnomer. I refer you to http://www.snopes.com...as/santa/cocacola.asp which is one of many sites which have the full history for the development of the modern day Santa. I also agree with you that it is the spirit of Christmas which make Santa real.
