I think you may have got it there, though the language was totally unrealistic with far too much swearing. If you talk to anyone who lives int he North East old enough to have lived through the miners strike they will tell you that the language was too strong. Men in the North East, in particular, seem to make a secial effort not to use that kind of language infront of a lady and certainly never to a lady!
