Harry Potter First Addition
6 Answers
Hi, I have just discovered I have a first addition version of the Harry Potter book, The Goblet of Fire. It is one of the books with an 'x' at the end of the ISBN, and apparently has a mistake somewhere in the book. I was wondering if anybody knows if these books are of any value, and if so, how much they are worth. thanks.

Probably most people who ordered it on to be delivered on the first day of release have a first edition.
There were some mistakes in the first edition of GoF; but again, many of these books were printed. Some first editions of The Prisoner of Azkaban had a printing error and are worth about 1000.
I also have one of the first edition 'Goblet of Fire' and yes it has a mistake in the book which I believe was amended in later editions. morg-monstei is right, there were thousands of these first editions printed so they won't be very valuable. A first edition of 'The Philosphers Stone' - now that's a different story.
