Should wireless routers be left on permanently or should they be switched off when Internet access is not required please?

left on (especially for the first 10-14 days when you put them in as they are undergoing a learning process with the phone exchange for that time)

If you have Virgin cable broadband you can turn it off when not in use. I prefer to leave mine on, though.
Leave it on, but make sure you have wi fi security set up on,

WEP security is not that good, WPA is better so try using that.
VHG-YOU MENTION THAT WEP IS NOT THAT GOOD..
