install and use. also, you can set it to prevent virus' from infecting you in the first place. handy.
about active x. if a website needs you to have an active x control installed to view their site, you will be prompted to download it. you may have disabled active x controls. to reconfigure your settings, go to your control panel under the start menue. from here go to network and internet connections and go to internet settings. from here you can alter various options but be warned. screwing with these options may screw your connection. only change things that you know need changing. also, active x controls occasionaly contain spyware. depending on the credibility of the website of course
